I have been a Remedial Massage therapist since 1996, working full time since 2002, and also a Qualified Beauty Therapist since 2024 although with a large Remedial clientele I have left behind some areas of beauty and focus on massage and skincare only now. The part of my job I love most is seeing regular clients that are in for preventing problems and for maintaining a healthy, functional lifestyle. People experience tension due to work or life/sport/hobbies/family and discover that a regular treatment will alleviate tension preventing further injury and pain.
After all the years in this industry I still love it. I passionately believe in the benefits. I love that massage works not only on a physical level to manage pain, reduce tension, enhance performance and flexibility but also works on a mental and emotional level to relieve stress, anxiety and depression while aiding sleep and our ability to cope with the stresses of life. The same applies for facials they can enhance the skin and also provide some much needed self care time.

When i moved to Australia in 2023, I noticed people in Australia are really hard working and reasonably active. And with so many massage shops and clinics around, it's clear that looking after their bodies is very important to them. It makes sense - staying active and dealing with the stress can leave anyone feeling sore and tense.
I started my massage journey in 2014. Working in different shops and clinics, learning a wide range of skills and techniques. In 2023, I graduated from Massage School where I received my Diploma and became a qualified Remedial Massage therapist and became a part of the Refresh family.
I believe massage is like primary care - it's all about helping people recover, relax, and feel their best! I'm here to support you on your journey to a healthier and more balanced life. Give me a try, and let's work together to get you feeling great again!

Hi, I’m Grant. I have just moved back to Bendigo after a few years in Melbourne and am delighted to be joining the team at Refresh Day Spa and Remedial Clinic. In my spare time I am very passionate about music, being outside in nature and spending time with my sons helping them cultivate their hobbies.
My bodywork journey began more than 12 years ago when I participated in a Shiatzu massage workshop at an alternative living festival in the NSW bush. My belief in the fundamental value of massage comes from more recent experience of the Melbourne lockdowns (where human contact was banned for 8 months over two years) and a Lomi-Lomi treatment I received from a dear friend, which felt like being ‘witnessed’ as a transcendental being.
Since these experiences I have sought to formalize my skills as a massage therapist, so that I can “do well by doing good” while also staying fit and physically active at work. Now that I have completed the Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy at Victoria University, I look forward to applying my skills and experience helping clients gain relief from pain and discomfort.
Although I have learnt some very specific techniques to help with injury and chronic illness, I believe that all types of massage have the capacity to create presence and mind-body connection, which is essential for allowing the body to heal.
I look forward to working with you on your journey to optimum health and wellbeing.

My name is Inta. Since deciding to take up a relaxation course in early 2023 my life has taken a new direction. With previous experience in fine art and childcare, it was an instant interest, considering the level of care and attention to detail this skill requires. It is also the healing process of regular massage that draws me to be so devoted to this work. We can all be vulnerable to the pressures of daily living and I deeply value it's benefits.
My relaxation journey has opened doors into the facial care in beauty, where I am able to improve skin concerns. Providing soothing treatments aimed at making you feel your best. Next year I will be a qualified Remedial therapist. Giving me the insight and knowledge to assist clients with particular problem areas, giving them the best quality of life. I enjoy the client/practitioner relationship and hope to build meaningful outcomes for the clients at Refresh Bendigo.
I live close by in Castlemaine with my teenagers and Golden Retriver. I love this place of the world, originally from Melbourne. There are more places that are peaceful and close to nature. Having Bendigo close by is the icing on the cake. In my spare time I like to practice yoga and mediation, gardening and cook from exciting recipes.

I am a recent arrival in the massage industry, despite knowing I wanted to become a therapist for many years.
In the interim I have explored many & varied career options whilst raising my family. I feel my life experiences are beneficial to understanding differing perspectives & help make me a better therapist.
Relating to massage, I have particularly enjoyed learning about anatomy and the biomechanics of the body. It is very rewarding to assist a client in connecting with their body & seeing them view it with a deeper sense of value & respect. I am humbled by the trust afforded to me as a clinician.
I really believe bodies are amazing & they sometimes just need a reminder of how to function.

I was born and raised in Bendigo with a strong love of working with people to better their health and well being.
I have previously worked in the fitness community as a Receptionist and Personal Trainer which has been beneficial for massage tohelp gain a good understanding of the human body during my Massage Therapy journey.
I love Massage Therapy because I believe in its ability to heal the body both physically and mentally. It brings me joy knowing I can assist people in improving their health and well-being.
I love being a part of the Refresh Team and look forward to expanding my education in both massage and beauty therapy along the way to provide the people of Bendigo and surroundings with the best treatments possible.
