I moved to Bendigo in 1999 to study the Diploma of Remedial Massage. Whilst studying, I worked fulltime at a spa resort in Hepburn for 18 months, then a further 18 months part time to focus on building my own practice in Bendigo.
My focus has always been providing a high level of knowledge and skill to identify muscle dysfunction that causes pain and restriction. Then using a veriety of remedial techniques, efectively treat the cause of the dysfunction including any secondary issues and provide stretching and strengthening exercises where neccessary to address postural imbalences and possible weeknesses that contribute to the issues.
With our new clinic up and running, I have moved across to 141 Williamson street and will be seeing all of my clients over there along with Bridget and CeCe

I have been running Refresh with my husband Simon since September 2002 while raising our two daughters. The part of my job I love most is seeing regular clients that are in for preventing problems and for maintaining a healthy, functional lifestyle. They get tension due to work or life/sport/hobbies/family and know that a regular treatment will alleviate tension preventing further injury and pain.
After all the years massaging I still love it. I passionately believe in its benefits. I love that it works not only on a physical level to manage pain, reduce tension, enhance performance and flexibility but also works on a mental and emotional level to relieve stress, anxiety and depression while aiding sleep and our ability to cope with the stresses of life.
After completing my VCE in 2021 I have moved from part time to full time receptionist at Refresh and have loved the experience that it has given me.
I am currently a receptionist for Refresh Day Spa, and I’m located at our Garsed street clinic. I have worked for Refresh since 2016 and have loved growing with the staff and the business over the years. I enjoy working alongside our wonderful Remedial and Beauty Therapists and learning and growing as they do.
In my spare time I love to bake and cook, I also love going to the gym. I have lived in Bendigo my whole life and have loved it here so much.

After a few years of work experience in massage, I still love this carer and enjoy helping people. Health is the most important thing in our life. Massage not only helps physical issues but also mental stress. I like to massage professionally and effectively, so I decided to study remedial massage to become more knowledgeable, and improving my techniques and skills.
As a massage therapist, I must look after myself first then provide good treatments for clients. In my free time, I like to work out to keep my body fit. I enjoy cooking, food, hot baths, and music to release stress. I try new things to work my brain's function. I enjoy helping others.

After my first child was born, I took some time away to focus on being the best mother I could. Now that she is a bit older, I am very excited to be back doing what I am passionate about. I am a recent arrival in the massage industry, despite knowing I wanted to become a therapist for many years.
In the interim I have explored many & varied career options whilst raising my family. I feel my life experiences are beneficial to understanding differing perspectives & help make me a better therapist.
Relating to massage, I have particularly enjoyed learning about anatomy and the biomechanics of the body. It is very rewarding to assist a client in connecting with their body & seeing them view it with a deeper sense of value & respect. I am humbled by the trust afforded to me as a clinician.
I really believe bodies are amazing & they sometimes just need a reminder of how to function.
